On the territory of modern Mykolaiv around 1250-925 BC there was the so-called city of the Cimmerian people - an ancient port city of the Cimmerians (Belozersk culture). It is the oldest city on the territory of Ukraine mentioned in written sources.
На території сучасного Миколаєва близько 1250—925 років до н. е. існувало так зване місто людей кімерійських — стародавнє місто-порт кімерійців (білозерської культури). Це найстаріше місто на території України, що згадується в писемних джерелах.
