Description

Matera is known to the world for its cultural heritage, which was recognised by Unesco in 1993. But Matera, besides being characterised by its sassi, made up of buildings and architecture carved out of the rock and inhabited since prehistoric times, is also the city of the Murgia and of urban greenery.
In fact, Matera is the greenest city in Italy, according to a study carried out by the Centro Studi Enti Locali (CSEL), and the one with the largest per capita area. In the podcast, therefore, Matera is recounted under this other aspect, the "green" one, in which the various guests who follow one another recount and testify to the process of enhancing urban greenery, carried out by a number of active associations in the city.
