Description

Aula Natura is an Environmental Interpretation Centre located next to l´Alqueria del Duc and l´Ullal Gran or l´Estany, a Mediterranean coastal wetland of great ecological and cultural value that forms part of the La Safor Marshes and is included in the Catalogue of Wetlands of the Valencian Community, as well as in the Natura 2000 Network as a ZEPA Mondúver-Marjal de La Safor.

The centre is built with materials based on the model of rural houses in the area, and hosts a permanent exhibition that shows the most relevant aspects of this ecosystem and its culture. One of its main objectives is the sharing of these contents with children and young people, for which it has relied on interactive experiences and multimedia games, but without renouncing original objects of great ethnographic value.

The Aula is connected to the ullal by wooden paths accessible to all kinds of public and in the surrounding area there is a picnic area with a drinking fountain, to enjoy nature in an orderly and respectful way.
