Iglesia Primitiva(Altura)

This church was built in the Valencian Gothic style, on top of an old Muslim mosque, and from the 18th century it had different public uses since, due to the increase in population, a larger temple had to be built.
The building has exterior buttresses and a gabled roof. The plant is rectangular, with a single nave and four sections, the last one was later added to its original construction and has diaphragm arches dating from the 14th century. In the third section, a door opens that originally gave access to the sacristy. Another currently blocked side door that gave access to the cemetery. A few years ago it was restored and enabled as a Cultural Center.
It has been declared a Property of Local Relevance.

Esta iglesia fue edificada en estilo gótico valenciano, sobre una antigua mezquita musulmana, y desde el siglo XVIII pasó a tener distintos usos públicos ya que debido al incremento de la población, tuvo que construirse un templo más grande.
El edificio presenta contrafuertes exteriores y cubierta a dos aguas. La planta es rectangular, de una sola nave y de cuatro tramos, el último fue añadido posteriormente a su construcción original y presenta arcos diafragmas datados del siglo XIV. En el tercer tramo se abre una puerta que originalmente daba acceso a la sacristía. Otra puerta lateral actualmente cegada que daba acceso al cementerio. Hace unos años fue restaurada y habilitada como Centro Cultural.
