The Church of San Martín Obispo is located in the centre of the village of Alcácer. It was built in 1610, rebuilt in 1719 and enlarged in 1801, and in 1805 interesting frescoes of San Martín de Tours and San Hilario de Poitiers, attributed to Vicente López (chamber painter of the courts of Carlos IV and Fernando VII), were added, as well as the chapel of Cristo de la Fe between 1816 and 1819. So, we know that it was built in the 18th century, however, this church has undergone very relevant changes in its history: a remodelling, a substitution, restoration and various necessary additions.
La Iglesia de San Martín Obispo se encuentra en el centro del pueblo de Alcácer. Se construyó en el 1610, se reconstruyó en 1719 y se amplió en el 1801, además, en el 1805 se incorporó interesantes frescos de San Martín de Tours y San Hilario de Poitiers, atribuidos a Vicente López (pintor de cámara de las cortes de Carlos IV y Fernando VII), también, la capilla del Cristo de la Fe entre el 1816 y 1819. Así pues, la construcción sabemos que fue en el S.XVIII, sin embargo, esta Iglesia ha pasado por cambios muy relevantes en cuanto a su historia: una remodelación, una sustitución, restauración y diversos añadidos necesarios.
