Description

The Hermitage of Santa Ana was built on a small mound in the village of Albal. It is characterised by a large building with pointed arches, an atrium and a high choir, which was restored in 1943 and 2005. In the middle of the 19th century, an original panel by Juan de Juanes, representing the Virgin of the Divine Grace, was venerated there, as well as San Blas, patron saint of the village. It is surrounded by pine trees and has a large square and a fountain which are used, above all, during the time of Albal's patron saint festivities, specifically on 3 February and 26 July, when stalls are set up to sell the typical "porrat".
